Shahenaz Begum

Shahenaz has been a social worker for the last 18 years, primarily working with women through self-help groups in Hyderabad. Her work has focused on the areas of women’s economic self-empowerment and children’s education. Shahenaz is now part of the Montfort Social Institute team as a member of the WorkFREE Project, as well as being a part of its various other programmes. She is also a master puppeteer, having performed at events across the world.

Shahenaz’s role as a Community Program Facilitator involves engaging with the WorkFREE communities through establishing connections with them and facilitating regular interaction and the work of the research team.
